Dr Stuart McKie

I am a Lecturer in Ancient History and Classics, specialising in Roman religion and magic. Before joining Exeter in 2024 I worked at the Universities of Durham (2018-21) and Manchester (2016-18).

I completed my PhD on Roman curse tablets in 2016 at the Open University, where I am still involved in teaching ancient history to distance learners.

Since 2025 I have been a member of the Editorial Board of the Theoretical Roman Archaeology Journal.
