Postdoctoral Research Associate in Papyrology (Greek and Latin Papyri)
Classics and Ancient History
I am a postdoctoral researcher in papyrology at the University of Exeter, contributing to the project Education in Graeco-Roman Egypt: An Intercultural Approach. Within this project, my work focuses on the study of Greek and Latin school papyri.
Before this, I studied Classics at the University of Barcelona (BA, 2019) and completed an MSt in Classics at the University of Oxford (2020), where I specialised in Greek lyric and papyrology. Between 2021 and 2025, I conducted my doctoral research at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) while teaching in the Department of Classics at the Complutense University of Madrid. My dissertation examined the transformation of literary education in Egypt during Late Antiquity, based on the analysis of a corpus of Greek and Coptic school papyri. During my PhD, I undertook research stays at the Freie Universität zu Berlin, University College of London, and the Institut Français d’Archéologie Orientale in Cairo.
My main research interests include the transmission of knowledge in Antiquity, the evolution of educational curricula, and the sociolinguistics of ancient education, as well as the edition of texts written on papyrus.
