Lyra Christie (she/her) is a PhD student and Graduate Research Assistant on the Pustules, Palaeogenetics and Pandemics from Galen to Rhazes: How to do the Early History of Smallpox and Measles Project, based within the Centre for Environments and Cultures of Health and generously funded by the Wellcome Trust. Her research examines pandemic profiteering in antiquity. She previously completed her BA and MPhil in Classics at the University of Cambridge.
