Edward Knowles

I am a PhD candidate in Classics & Ancient History. My thesis is titled 'Reimagining Roman Bath: Past, Present, Future' and is a Collaborative Doctoral Award (CDA) generously funded by the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership (SWWDTP) and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

My project reinterprets the offerings in the sacred spring, analyses the reception of the Baths in the context of their Georgian discovery and Victorian excavation, and will create a framework for bringing forward marginalised perspectives in the museum.
